King Salman聽issued a series of royal orders on Thursday announcing key changes in government positions.

Among the key decisions, Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz al-Saud was relieved of his post as Governor of Jazan Region. He will be succeeded by Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz 聽al-Saud, who has been appointed with the rank of minister.

Other appointments include:聽

Prince Bandar bin Muqrin bin Abdulaziz al-Saud is appointed Advisor at the Royal Court, with the rank of Excellent.

Prince Nasser bin Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Jalawi al-Saud is appointed Deputy Governor of Jazan Region, with the rank of Excellent.

Prince Fahd bin Saad bin Faisal bin Saad al-Saud has been relieved of his membership in the Shura Council and appointed Deputy Governor of Al-Qassim Region, with the rank of Excellent.

Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf al-Muqrin, Special Advisor to the King, is assigned to act as Deputy Minister of Interior.

Dr. Nasser bin Abdulaziz al-Daoud has been relieved of his post as Deputy Minister of Interior and appointed Deputy Minister of the National Guard, with the rank of Minister.

Mr. Fahd bin Abdullah al-Askar is appointed Deputy Chief of the Royal Court, with the rank of Minister.

Mr. Tamim bin Abdulaziz al-Salem is appointed Deputy Private Secretary to the King, with the rank of Minister.

Dr. Mohammed bin Saud bin Musa al-Tamimi has been relieved of his position as Governor of the Communications, Space and Technology Commission and appointed as Governor of the National Emergency Management Authority, with the rank of Minister.

Dr. Inas bint Sulaiman bin Mohammed al-Issa is appointed Deputy Minister of Education, with the rank of Excellent.

Professor Abdullah bin Siraj bin Mustafa Zaqzouq is appointed Head of Private Affairs for the Crown Prince, with the rank of Excellent.

RIYADH: The Saudi capital will host the eighth Global Health Exhibition from Oct. 27 to 30 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center under the theme 鈥淚nvest in Health.鈥

The event is sponsored by the Ministry of Health and supported by the Health Sector Transformation Program, part of Vision 2030, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

It will feature more than 2,000 exhibitors, 500 speakers, and at least 20 international pavilions, serving as a platform for knowledge exchange and health and digital innovations.

Building on the 2024 edition, which highlighted King Faisal Specialist Hospital鈥檚 robotic heart transplant, the exhibition will focus on practical solutions to healthcare challenges.

The previous edition also showcased Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell production for cancer treatment, a virtual reality command center for medical education, and pharmacogenetic analysis services for personalized medication.

The King Abdullah Ear Specialist Center at King Saud University recently performed the region鈥檚 first cochlear implant surgery using a robotic hand, reflecting ongoing medical progress.

The exhibition offers healthcare professionals, students, and researchers opportunities to network, attend scientific sessions, and explore career paths.

MicroX launches new courses to upskill Saudi youth

RIYADH: The MicroX initiative, part of the Human Capability Development Program under Saudi Vision 2030, has launched more than 60 new specialized courses to help equip youngsters with advanced skills.

The programs will be offered through Saudi universities in collaboration with government entities, and hosted on the national e-learning platform FutureX, according to a Saudi Press Agency report.

The courses cover key sectors such as technology, health, management, culture, and cybersecurity, along with specialized tracks in public health, heritage, strategic marketing, and event management.

This expansion reflects national efforts to advance digital education and training, providing flexible, short-term learning opportunities aligned with labor market needs, the SPA added.

So far, more than 7,000 trainees have benefited from MicroX, which aims to launch 350 short university programs with Saudi universities and sectoral institutions to meet workforce demand and keep pace with rapid industry changes.

RIYADH: 海角直播 hosted the first meeting of Arab maritime authorities, in coordination with the International Maritime Organization, on the sidelines of the second Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference in Jeddah, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.

The meeting set out to unify efforts and strengthen technical cooperation between Arab maritime authorities and the IMO by developing joint programs and partnerships to enhance the efficiency of Arab maritime operations and support sustainability and sector growth.

The event was led by the Deputy for Maritime at the Transport General Authority Essam Al-Amari, and Kamal Al-Junaidi, 海角直播鈥檚 permanent representative to the IMO, both of whom played a pivotal role in organizing the meeting.

Their efforts helped create an effective dialogue environment, enhancing coordination among Arab authorities and opening avenues for regional and international cooperation, the SPA added.

The Sustainable Maritime Industry Conference is a global platform that brings together leaders, decision-makers, and experts in maritime transport and logistics, reflecting the Kingdom鈥檚 commitment to innovation and sustainable development in the sector.

RIYADH: Saudi aid agency KSrelief continued its aid initiatives in Lebanon, Yemen, Afghanistan and Syria reported state news agency SPA on Saturday.

In Afghanistan, the aid agency distributed 904 food packages benefiting 5,424 Afghans who returned from Pakistan to the Omari camp in Nangarhar province.   

Similarly, in Lebanon's Tripoli, the agency provided 331 food packages to families in need benefiting 1,655 individuals and 1,300 food baskets to 1,300 families in Rif Dimashq Governorate, Syria.

Meanwhile in Yemen, the aid agency distributed 90 agricultural seeds and veterinary kits in Marib governorate in support of its sustainable and agricultural project in Yemen. 

Deputy Governor of Marib Abdrabuh Miftah said the project is vital for empowering farmers and enhancing local food security and noted that it will help train veterinarians to provide essential animal health services in rural areas.

KSrelief additionally distributed 60 tents and 60 shelter bags to individuals affected by a low-pressure system in Aden Governorate, benefiting 360 people.

Finally, KSrelief inaugurated a sewage treatment plant and delivered six garbage transport trucks to the Yemeni side in Marib Governorate. 

The plant includes 10 sedimentation tanks, a dedicated operation and control room, and an agricultural nursery.

Miftah praised the project, stressing that it will contribute to enhancing environmental health, combating disease, and preventing groundwater pollution.
