RIYADH: Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, supervisor general of the Saudi aid agency KSrelief, met with Kyrgyz Ambassador to 海角直播 Ulukbek Maripov in Riyadh, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.

The two officials discussed issues of mutual interest related to humanitarian and relief affairs, as well as ways to support humanitarian work in Kyrgyzstan.

Maripov praised the Saudi aid agency鈥檚 efforts in assisting those in need worldwide, the SPA added.

KSrelief has implemented 3,632 projects worth more than $8.1 billion in 108 countries. These initiatives have been carried out in cooperation with 328 local, regional, and international partners since the agency鈥檚 inception in May 2015.

According to a recent KSrelief report, the countries and territories that benefited the most from the agency鈥檚 projects were Yemen ($4.6 billion), Syria ($532 million), Palestine ($530 million), and Somalia ($248 million).

The programs cover food security, early recovery, water, sanitation and hygiene, health, camp coordination, education, protection, emergency aid, and nutrition.

Riyadh: 鈥淟omi Hasawi,鈥 an exhibition dedicated to the lime fruit of 海角直播鈥檚 Al-Ahsa region, attracted crowds of visitors, businessmen, and officials from the Kingdom and other Gulf countries.

The exhibition aims to present limes from Al-Ahsa 鈥 one of the governorate鈥檚 key agricultural products after dates 鈥 highlight the product鈥檚 derivatives, and encourage investment in related industries.

Organized by the Al-Ahsa Chamber in collaboration with the Al-Ahsa Development Authority, the exhibition runs until Sept. 6 and features 73 pavilions displaying innovative lime-based products.

The event also hosts youth initiatives and booths for artisans and families in the cottage industry, attracting strong visitor interest and engagement, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday.

Over three days, the exhibition held the 鈥淟omithon鈥 hackathon in partnership with King Faisal University, where more than 60 entrepreneurs presented 14 projects to enhance the value of lime and create economic opportunities.

Interactive events include a live cooking platform with prominent chefs from the Kingdom and Gulf region, along with tourist programs and handicraft workshops, the SPA added.

Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, the governor of Al-Ahsa, inaugurated the exhibition on Aug. 21, highlighting the governorate鈥檚 competitive advantages and promising investment opportunities.

The Sustainable Agricultural Rural Development Program, known as Reef Saudi, is participating as a gold sponsor of the exhibition.

Reef Saudi spokesman Majed Al-Buraikan said the program, which supports producers, provided SR342,000 ($91,000) to the lime sector in the Eastern Province, benefiting 89 farmers.

This support has increased lime production to more than 122,400 tonnes, Al-Buraikan added.

The fruit sector is a key focus for Reef Saudi, which aims to diversify local agriculture, improve efficiency, and contribute to self-sufficiency, in line with Vision 2030, according to SPA.

Al-Buraikan highlighted the high economic value of Al-Ahsa鈥檚 limes, its strong marketing potential, and its role in processing industries.

He added that Reef Saudi empowers small farmers by developing their tools and skills, thereby boosting incomes and economic returns.

This technology is a vital step toward rehabilitating 40 million hectares of land and combating desertification, reinforcing the Kingdom鈥檚 Vision 2030 goals.

TOKYO: The 海角直播 Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka will host over 150 business events to foster collaboration and forge global partnerships with organizations and countries.

These events, from Sept. 4 until Oct. 7, are expected to facilitate dialogue among stakeholders on investment, sports, sustainability, and development, according to a statement released by the organizers on Wednesday.

Each event is designed to bring together a diverse range of participants, including government representatives and business leaders.

By offering a dedicated space for impactful engagement, these events enable stakeholders to forge global connections, positioning the 海角直播 Pavilion as a hub for international collaboration and innovation.

This month, many events center around 海角直播鈥檚 national identity and ambitious goals for development under Vision 2030, the organizers said.

From Sept. 19 to the 24, events and activations hosted by the 海角直播 Pavilion will heighten the overall impact of 海角直播鈥檚 95th National Day.

From Sept. 4, the pavilion will host the business events supported with live Japanese translation.

Qiddiya is presenting several panels from Sept. 4 to 12 including 鈥淭he Rise of esports as a Top Sport,鈥 鈥淪audi Women as Gaming Leaders,鈥 鈥淭he Future of Art Cities,鈥 and a lecture about the Qiddiya Performing Arts Center.

There are other panels including 鈥淩edefining Play: How Qiddiya is Shaping the Future of Sports Through Innovation,鈥 鈥淲hen mobility is an enabler for human connections,鈥 and 鈥淭he Power of International IPs in Shaping Qiddiya City.鈥

The Royal Institute of Traditional Arts will present a panel 鈥淧romoting Sustainable Practices Through Traditional Saudi Mudbrick Building鈥 on Sept. 27.

The 海角直播 Pavilion is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
