MALDIVES: Saudi Fund for Development CEO Sultan Al-Marshad was received by President of the Maldives Mohamed Muizzu in the Maldives.

Al-Marshad congratulated the president on the 60th anniversary of his country’s independence, the Saudi fund wrote in a post on X.

The meeting highlighted the Saudi fund’s “development efforts that span nearly 47 years and explored ways to enhance development cooperation between both sides.”

RIYADH: ֱ’s Chief of General Staff Lieutenant-General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili presented Pakistan’s Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza with a King Abdulaziz Medal of the Excellent Class in Riyadh on Saturday.

The award was made in recognition of Mirza’s efforts to consolidate the bonds of friendship and joint cooperation between the Kingdom and Pakistan and strengthen Saudi-Pakistani relations, the Saudi Press Agency said.

The medal was given to Mirza during a meeting with Al-Ruwaili and in accordance with a royal directive from King Salman.

The two officials reviewed aspects of cooperation in the defense and military fields between their countries and ways to strengthen and develop them in the meeting.A number of topics of common interest were also discussed, SPA said.
