RIYADH: The British Embassy in Riyadh has launched a photo competition to mark the upcoming 89th Saudi National Day.

UK Deputy Ambassador to º£½ÇÖ±²¥ Richard Oppenheim announced the contest titled “The Kingdom through my lens,†and said: “The competition celebrates the strategic relationship between the two kingdoms — the UK and º£½ÇÖ±²¥ — and I look forward to some great images from both our countries.â€

To run alongside the competition, the embassy also launched the UKinSaudiArabia Instagram channel.

To take part, contestants are invited to submit a picture of their favorite place in º£½ÇÖ±²¥ or the UK to the embassy’s Twitter and Instagram accounts @ukinsaudiarabia and complete the entry form. The last date for submissions will be Oct. 12.

At the end of the competition two winning entries will be chosen, one photo from º£½ÇÖ±²¥ and one from the UK. The winners will receive one return flight ticket to London and a VIP shopping experience at Bicester Village courtesy of competition partners Almosafer and VisitBritain.

The contest is open to all citizens and residents of º£½ÇÖ±²¥. Photographs should be based on the theme and follow competition rules.
