RIYADH: Milan鈥檚 fashion and design-focused Istituto Marangoni will launch in Riyadh in August in collaboration with the Saudi Fashion Commission.

At a recent Ramadan event co-hosted by Istituto Marangoni and the Fashion Commission, key players explained why the move is a game-changer for aspiring creatives in the Kingdom.

Burak Cakmak, CEO of the Fashion Commission, highlighted the significance of having Istituto Marangoni in 海角直播, stating that its presence will allow aspiring designers to receive education without the need for international travel. 鈥淗aving an institution like this on the ground will make it much easier for anyone interested in the fashion sector to study, take short programs, or even combine work with education,鈥 he told Arab News.

The new Higher Training Institute, located in the听King Abdullah Financial District, will offer three-year undergraduate听advanced training diploma programs听across several disciplines, including听fashion business,听fragrances and cosmetics,听fashion design, and听fashion styling.

Stefania Valenti, CEO of Istituto Marangoni, said that students will also have the option to transfer to global campuses to complete their studies, to gain exposure to international fashion hubs. 鈥淲e work with all the major global brands, and we aim to connect Saudi talent with international opportunities,鈥 she said.

In an interview with Arab News, Valenti revealed that the institute plans to expand its programs beyond fashion and fragrance, with courses in product and interior design set to launch in the future. 鈥淲e believe this should be the second wave of creative education in 海角直播,鈥 she said.

To mark the launch, Istituto Marangoni will offer听50 scholarships to Saudi students听enrolling in its听Advanced Training Diploma Programs, open to Saudi nationals holding a high school听certificate or its equivalent.

DUBAI: American YouTube personality Ms. Rachel was recently named among the winners of Glamour magazine鈥檚 Women of the Year 2025 awards and attended the ceremony in New York wearing a dress featuring hand-drawn images by children in Gaza.

The long-time advocate for children in Gaza, known worldwide for her educational content, wore an upcycled dress featuring embroidered copies of illustrations created by children in Palestine.

She also held a sheet of paper featuring photographs of the children which she showed off on the red carpet on Tuesday.

鈥淚鈥檓 thinking about all the little ones there and what we can do for them,鈥 she told livestream hosts Brooks and Grace Ann Nader on the red carpet.

鈥淚鈥檓 carrying their stories in my heart,鈥 she added. 鈥淭hey all know about the dress, and they鈥檙e so excited.鈥

Ms. Rachel, real name Rachel Griffin-Accurso, is one of the most well-known creators of educational entertainment for preschoolers, with more than 17.5 million subscribers on YouTube.

The second season of her show on Netflix is the biggest launch for children鈥檚 content in the streaming platform鈥檚 history. The show has so far racked up 53 million views.

Her media empire includes 13 billion YouTube views, nine books, and a line of toys.

She is equally well-known for taking a stance in support of the children in Gaza, which has seen her come under fire from pro-Israel supporters.

鈥淢y love and care for children doesn鈥檛 stop at my own children,鈥 she previously told Glamour. 鈥淚t doesn鈥檛 stop at the children in our country. It embraces every child of the world.

鈥淎nd I don鈥檛 think that our love should end at religion or skin color or where people are born. I think that that鈥檚 not what鈥檚 right, in my soul.鈥

She added: 鈥淐hildren should have human rights, and children do have human rights. To me, that grown-ups are failing children and not following those guidelines, it鈥檚 so upsetting.鈥

In May, Ms. Rachel made headlines when she filmed content with Rahaf, a 3-year-old double amputee from Gaza evacuated by the Palestine Children鈥檚 Relief Fund.
