The exhibition is being held outdoors in the Energy Exhibit area, which provides a distinctive setting for this unique display.

Maha Abdulhadi, creative programs specialist at Ithra, told Arab News: ā€œWith help from Japanese classic car enthusiasts Ali Aldhamin and Nazar Alqlaf, we curated this display to showcase a broad range of vehicles that represent a significant chapter in the history of the Japanese car industry, which is highly appreciated in ŗ£½ĒÖ±²„.ā€

The exhibition features 13 cars, most of which are owned by private collectors in Qatif, and spans a variety of classic models, modern designs, and concept vehicles. ā€œThis is a rare opportunity for car enthusiasts in the Kingdom to experience Japanese engineering and design up close,ā€ Abdulhadi said.

It also attracts car enthusiasts.ā€

The exhibition ends on February 8, marking the conclusion of the Japan Cultural Days celebration.

DUBAI: A person posing as ā€œSupermanā€ actor David Corenswet falsely signed his name to a pledge calling for a boycott of Israeli film institutions, leading organizers of the campaign, Film Workers for Palestine, to mistakenly list him among its supporters.

The actor’s name appeared among more than 5,000 signatories, including actors, directors and producers, before FWFP confirmed that the signature was fraudulent. The organization stated that an individual had gone to ā€œgreat lengths to pretend to be David Corenswet,ā€ and that once the impersonation was discovered, his name was ā€œpromptly removed.ā€

In an updated statement on Nov. 4, FWFP apologized for the incident and clarified that Corenswet ā€œwas never involvedā€ in the boycott.

The pledge, launched on Sept. 8, calls on members of the entertainment industry to avoid collaborating with Israeli film institutions allegedly linked to ā€œgenocide and apartheid.ā€

Among the signatories are Mark Ruffalo, Olivia Colman, Emma Stone, Tilda Swinton, Riz Ahmed and Javier Bardem.

ā€œAs filmmakers, actors, film industry workers, and institutions, we recognize the power of cinema to shape perceptions,ā€ the pledge, launched on Sept. 8, stated.

ā€œIn this urgent moment of crisis, where many of our governments are enabling the carnage in Gaza, we must do everything we can to address complicity in that unrelenting horror,ā€ it added.
