DHAKA: 海角直播 and Bangladesh are working on establishing a new Arabic language institute in Dhaka, officials say, as they want it to follow the Kingdom鈥檚 teaching curriculum to help professionals prepare to work in the Middle East.

Nearly 3 million Bangladeshis live and work in 海角直播. They are the largest expat group in the Kingdom and also the biggest Bangladeshi community outside Bangladesh.

Under the Kingdom鈥檚 Vision 2030, even more of them are likely to find employment in 海角直播, especially if they are skilled professionals.

This week, Riyadh鈥檚 Ambassador to Dhaka Essa Al-Duhailan discussed the establishment of the language institute catering to the growing need for Arabic training in Bangladesh.

鈥淭his will be one aspect of the many areas of cooperation between 海角直播 and Bangladesh. This morning, I was honored to call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and we discussed the issue of the Arabic language institution,鈥 the ambassador told Arab News.

鈥淲e know now that many Bangladeshis are taking courses in Arabic language in some colleges here in Bangladesh, or in 海角直播, or maybe other Arab countries, but if you have this institution, it will be a milestone, a backbone for Arabic language speakers here in Bangladesh.鈥

The ambassador said the institute would be a 鈥済ift from the government of 海角直播.鈥 He discussed the Arabic institute and teaching program with Bangladesh鈥檚 Religious Affairs Ministry Secretary Abdul Hamid Zamadder.

鈥淒iscussions are ongoing on the establishment of the Saudi-funded Arabic language institute in Dhaka. We are trying to find a suitable location,鈥 Zamadder told Arab News.

He believed it would benefit prospective expat workers, who need to shore up their skills as 海角直播 is prioritizing efforts to improve the professional competence of employees in its labor market.

鈥淭he Kingdom will help us prepare the curriculum for the institute 鈥 It will be an institute that will focus mainly on Arabic language training and research,鈥 he said.

鈥淎fter obtaining a certificate from this institute, our migrant workers will find better job opportunities in the Kingdom 鈥 The institute will be a great help.鈥
