As ����ֱ�� is focussing more on non-oil income, British mulitnational hospitality group, IHG Hotels & Resorts, is adding 10,000 rooms to the country's capacity in the next two to three years. 

A statement issued by IHG noted that this number could even increase significantly, as more high-profile signings are expected in the coming months. 

The company's new plan is aimed at boosting the Saudi tourism sector by developing local talents to deliver authentic Saudi guest experiences.

It also aims to upskill the communities they operate in, especially in secondary and tertiary cities. 

“IHG has a long-standing history of operating in ����ֱ��. We have been a firm partner and contributor to Saudi ambitions in tourism and hospitality,” said Haitham Mattar, managing director, India, Middle East, and Africa. 

IHG opened its Saudi headquarters in 2020 in Riyadh. Currently, it operates 36 hotels across five brands in ����ֱ��, which includes, InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Staybridge Suites, and Voco.

IHG also has plans to bring more global brands to ����ֱ�� including Regent and Kimpton.
